Haikou is an attractive seaside resort featuring beautiful coastal scenery and a comfortable climate. The site is located on Haidian Island in Haikou, just a few steps away from Hainan University, and a river runs through it. Global carbon emissions from fossil fuels have significantly increased since 1900 and China’s carbon emissions have been ranked first in the world in recent years, which has caused many problems including rising sea levels. In my design, I try to reduce carbon emissions, minimize the impact of floods on people and meet people's needs at the same time.
