Design Concept
Based on the required functions and the location of the site, we conceived that let the central function drive the overall operation of the building and that the building itself would form a strong connection with the local community. For this reason, "strap" and "continuity" were decided as the keywords in this design. The "strap" is based on the two factors of "functional relevance" and "building on-site". "Continuity" is to achieve the two goals of being "people-oriented" and "attractive to the neighborhood".

Design Highlights
Create a place that sustains the interaction of residents
Showing the hustle and bustle of people moving around indoors drives the place to be a cohesive and interactive multi-generational facility. At the same time, to ensure its connectivity with the outdoor playground, we created an integrated space connecting the inside and outside.

The building is part of the local landscape, and the unified single-slope roof tone reveals its unobtrusive Japanese appearance. The eaves have set at the same height, and the uniform ceiling interconnects the interior and the space under the eaves, providing a sense of Japanese continuity. The linear roofs extend in different directions through a central-shaped section, and the refractive triangular roof section links these linear roofs of varying depth and slope.

A paved walking path around the site includes a curved walkway separating the main building from the outdoor playground. There is a well-defined lawn area between the walkway and the facility for preschoolers to play safely. On the other side, the outdoor playground is used as a putting-golf practice course. In addition, an outdoor rest area with restrooms is located in one corner of the playground near the parking lot to meet the needs of people practicing or walking.
The facility is conveniently located at the corner of a crossroad. The parking lot is adjacent to the facility and the outdoor playground, for the public in all directions. Considering the needs of people with limited mobility and families with elderly and children, a portion of the building extends into the parking lot as a porch for shelter from the wind and rain, with a parking area underneath and a one-way system throughout the lot to ensure safe driving.

Attracting people from all over the city to visit
The facility not only serves the local community as a healing resting place but its wealth of features and convenience has expanded its customer base and revitalized the entire community.
The facility is designed to be completely open to the public
A large number of glass walls are used on the exterior of the building to open up the main functions of the facility to the outside. The glass walls bring in good natural light from the outside and create an active scene in the area. Inside the building, the active use of wood creates a warm and friendly atmosphere.

A comprehensive fitness and entertainment center with many functions
By concentrating the main use space on the first floor and placing the frequently used fitness, swimming, bathing, and changing rooms in the center, the distance to each area has been shortened, thus greatly improving the visitor's experience.

As can be seen from the cross-sectional structure, the main activity space is on the first floor, the electrical equipment and air conditioning system is on the roof, and the water supply and drainage system (filtration system) plant room is on the first floor. The building is also designed to be barrier-free so that the elderly and children can spend a relaxing and safe time here.

The facility can use by residents in case of natural disasters
A highly recognizable facility
This building ensures a high level of safety and can use as a shelter for residents in the event of a disaster. The facility can identify from a distance by placing a temporary evacuation room and a meeting room around it. The main structure of the building is a highly durable reinforced concrete structure; in the more open areas, such as the swimming pool and gymnasium, a steel frame structure made of small cross-sectional materials is used.

Even in an earthquake, the hybrid structure will minimize deformation to maintain the safety of the main structure. The solar panels on the roof will provide temporary energy for residents who come to the building in an emergency. It also has high fire resistance and sound insulation between adjacent floors. The planned lifetime of the structure is set at 100 years.
