Commercial spaces most directly reflect the vitality of cities and human aspirations and best reflect the current consumer mentality and social formations. In the context of such rapidly changing times, we attempt to explore such current aspirations and spatial narrative strategies.

01【溯源问道】——寻找空间的症结
[Trace the source and ask the way] - Find the crux of the space
项目位于杭州市上城区新风商场内,室内面积约2900平米,卡丁车场馆是原有主题乐园的二期功能的延伸,既有独立入口又与原有功能相连接。
The project is located in the new wind mall in Shangcheng District, Hangzhou, with an indoor area of about 2,900 square meters. The kart track extends the original theme park phase II function, with an independent entrance and a connection to the original function.
整个场地内由现有通道将功能服务区域和卡丁车赛道区域划分成两部分,但功能区域层高较低,通道较宽。赛道部分由于需要充分利用场地和层高问题,产生了一座室内的桥。这两个交通空间将是整个场地的灵魂所在。
The whole site is divided into two parts by the existing access between the functional service area and the kart track area, but the functional area has a lower floor height and wider access. The track section forms an indoor bridge due to the need to utilize the site and floor height issues fully. These two traffic spaces will be the soul of the whole site.

02【介入并置】——由功能引发的叙事
[Intervention Juxtaposition] - Narrative triggered by function
服务区域与赛道区域承载了缓慢与快速、冷静与激烈的矛盾状态。我们在服务区域植入了一个时间隧道,它既是一种空间分割,也是一种功能融合,更是一种线索的引导。
The service area and the track area carry the contradictory states of slow and fast, calm and intense. We implanted a time tunnel in the service area, which is both a spatial division and a functional integration and a guide for clues.

隧道将8米宽的区域均分为二,两部分空间交错流动。时间隧道连接了各个功能房间,将原有的功能入口尺度增大,并与房间的入口成为整体,化解了功能房间层高低以及上部设备用房的问题。我们将设备用房的立面与功能空间的顶面联系在一起,形成了一个整体流动的入口效果。
The tunnel divides the 8-meter wide area into two, and the two parts of space are intertwined and flowing. Time tunnel connects each functional room, increases the scale of the original functional entrance, and becomes integral with the entrance of the room, solving the problem of low floor height of the function room and the upper equipment room. We link the façade of the equipment room with the top surface of the functional space to form a whole flowing entrance effect.
为了充分利用场地,赛车出发区设置在了场地的中间,因此由功能引发的桥空间就出现了,它的出现让整个体验充满了趣味性,也同时注入了空间精神。
In order to make full use of the site, the race car departure area is set in the middle of the site, so the bridge space triggered by the function emerges, which makes the whole experience interesting and injects the spirit of space at the same time.

桥空间由入口、桥体、发车区三部分组成,以一个完整的巨大形体介入空间之中,既满足功能需要,又具有视觉引导性与体验感。整体从隧道服务区到赛道区域的体验感是冷静的、缓慢的、波动的、兴奋地、激动地漫游在整个场地中。
The bridge space consists of three parts: the entrance, the bridge, and the starting area intervening in the space with a complete huge shape, which not only meets the functional needs but also has visual guidance and experience. The overall sense of experience from the tunnel service area to the track area is calm, slow, fluctuating, excited, and thrilling, roaming through the whole site.

03【构件句法】——整体性的碎片化
[Component syntactic] - Fragmentation of wholeness
时间隧道通过一个完整的拱形和功能门口的宽度进行双曲线的切割,呈现出了自由且大小不一的状态,切割完的洞口有的成为了功能房间的入口,有的成为了顶部空间的画布,整个形体蜿蜒流畅呈现在空间之中。我们在隧道侧立面设计了软膜天花,光线的引导让形体更加的凸显与舒展。
The bridge space consists of three parts, the stairs at the entrance with a light band to form a ceremonial entrance, and the width at the platform gives customers a space to stay and take pictures. At the same time, it is the only place where you can watch the race from a high position.

桥空间的三部分组成,入口楼梯处用灯带形成了一个仪式感的入口,平台处的宽度给顾客一个停留拍照的空间,同时又是唯一一个高处观看比赛的场所,由于整个高度限制,在满足赛车极限通行的基础上,把更多空间留给了二层平台,桥体的栏板随着楼梯延伸到出发区域,也成为了赛道挡板的一部分。出发区的顶部造型通过拱形高度的变化延伸到桥体的上部,成为整个桥空间的顶部造型,根据高度的要求在不断地变化。
Due to the limitation of the whole height, more space is left for the second-floor platform based on meeting the limitation of the racing access, and the bridge railing extends to the departure area with the staircase, which also becomes part of the track baffle. The top shape of the departure area extends to the upper part of the bridge through the change of the arch height and becomes the top shape of the whole bridge space, which keeps changing according to the height requirement.

04“【色彩如画】”
Color as a picture
我们更期待在不同色彩空间下的反差感与错觉感,相互抽离出来的感知系统更能刺激神经去思考所处环境的状态。在色彩上服务空间与桥空间的色彩以白色为主,红色点缀。
We are more looking forward to the sense of contrast and illusion under different color spaces, and the mutual abstract perceptual system can better stimulate the nerves to think about the state of our environment. In terms of color, the service and bridge spaces are dominated by white, supplemented by red.
在赛道空间中,柱子成为了空间引导标识系统的一部分,面向赛道的一侧我们设置了红色的线性灯光,作为灯光点缀和引导。顶部我们设计了与赛道同路径的蓝绿色面光源,成为主要的视觉灯光引导,也成为了整个空间色彩影响最大的一个因素。这种蓝绿色面光源与白色光源之间的对比与融合,更能将两种空间的环境色彩引入其余空间之中。
The columns become part of the space guidance signage system in the track space, and on the side facing the track, we set up red linear lights as lighting accents and guidance. At the top, we designed a blue-green surface light source, whose path is the same as the track, to become the main visual guide light and the most influential factor in the color of the whole space. The contrast and blend between this blue-green surface light source and the white light source can better introduce the ambient color of both spaces to the rest of the space.
