Design concept description:
With the rapid development of urbanization, urban public spaces are constantly occupied by parking lots, motor vehicles, and city block. And the number of urban public spaces that meet the needs of people is becoming fewer and fewer.
The lack of landscape service function in urban public space has weakened the communication between people, gradually disintegrating the spatial system of urban
social connection, and gradually losing the original vitality and vigor of urban development.
In the outside space of the city (“tree”), the under-forest space created by a tree
will become a place to attract people to stay and gather, become a space for people to
communicate, and provide emotional communication and interchange for the crowd
(“narration”).
So we want to provide a "seat" under the tree for the public space of the city so that the crowd can sit outside and stay here.
The activities of the crowd require people to participate, need to stay, and need to communicate and communicate with each other.
People create environment, and environment shape people.
We hope that gradually transforming the crowd from the current single spontaneous activity into chain social activities, creating more emotional and humanized urban space and bringing more vitality and vigor to the development of the city in the future.
As a way to transform the public space, “seat” is mainly reflected in the following three aspects:
1) Boundary effect of the crowd
2) Blank space offers multiple possibilities for the venue
3) Build a space system of different feelings
