The project is located in an abandoned factory base in Oslo, Norway. In the future planning of the city, the site will serve as a new urban centerin the north of the city, corresponding to the existing urban center in thesouth of the city. The survey found that the sitemainly owns three characteristics: 1. Theaccessibility at the city level is poor. Due to the unfinished industrial areain the north, the north-south railway line blocked the road to the northernregion. 2. At the regional level, the surrounding area has gradually developedinto a mixed mode of commercial and residential. The northwestern part of thebase is adjacent to two schools, middle schools and primary schools, so the context factors are more complicated. 3. At the site level, in the industrial era, the area used to be a matchfactory in the city. It has left more memories for people, and the history andculture are more profound.
In response to these three characteristics, this design mainlyproposes a modular design concept for shared life for all people. There arethree main ways: 1. At the city level, make full use of the existing and futureplanned northern greenways in the south of the city, connect the bases inseries, increase the accessibility of the bases, and encourage people to travelin an environmentally friendly way. 2. At the regional level, rational analysisbased on material space and historical and cultural resources, giving the site a newfunction 3. Site level, analyzing different types of people, referring to thethree processes of people's cognitive space, promoting mixed use, usingmodularity to the site Segmentation and recombination, combined withinteractive design features, provide people with personalized activities, thusdeepen understanding of the site and improve usage, so as to achievesustainable development of the site in the city.
